Curcuma Longa is a well known spice in cooking, the roots are one of the most powerful and effective herbs to date. Turmeric has been used to prevent & treat many ailments. All Turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful antioxidant that can protect from free radicals by neutralising them, the Red Turmeric has the highest colour and curcumin content of the varieties. Grown biodynamically and biologically, without the use of organic fertilisers. Compost teas and live biology are used instead.
Certified organic turmeric is a wonderful herb for reducing inflammation in the body & has been used for centuries to treat colds and infections.
It lowers resistance to insulin & can lower blood cholesterol levels while suppressing plaque buildup in the arteries.
Store fresh turmeric in an open container in the cupboard, in the same way as you keep your fresh onions and garlic, here on the farm it lasts for months.
